Permaculture Certification (Class
Calendar)
Our permaculture course follows the original certification course developed by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren and follows the book, Permaculture; A Designers Manual by Bill Mollison . This course meets all requirements for certification. Participants that attend all sessions of this class and complete the final design project will receive Certificate of Permaculture Design. Course Syllabus: Principles of Natural Systems, Sustainable Design Methodologies, Patterns in Nature, Culture and Society, Reading the Land & Understanding Natural Processes, Large Scale Land Restoration Techniques, Water Harvesting Techniques, Design Principles of Sustainable Human Settlements, Grey Water Recycling, Natural Building Strategies, Cultivated & Productive Ecologies, Food Forests, Plant Guilds, Gardens for Self-Sufficiency, Energy Conservation Technologies, Appropriate Technologies and Renewable EnergiesUrban Environment Permaculture, Wildlife Management and Biological Pest Contro, Land Arts and Community Activism, Invisible Structures: EcoVillages & Credit Unions Community Supported AgricultureStrategies for an Alternative Nation This course is taught by Dr. Paul Range, PhD and Gloria Haswell. Dr. Range is a Retired U.S. Special Forces Officer, Vietnam Veteran, with over 20 years as an independent homesteader. Gloria Haswell is a former U.S. Army Military Intelligence, with over 20 years as an independent homesteader and permaculturist. |
