Combat Medic: (Class Calendar)
Knowing how to defend (from harm) the human body, as well as how to assist it in healing, are two sides of the same coin. The combat medic has two general areas of information to work on: 1) Self-defense and tactics, and 2) Health and Medicine. The combat medic learns the skills that help keep the team safe from injury and sickness. Skills such as: Field medicine, herbology, self-defense, small unit tactics, triage and medical decisions, transportation and defense of injured. |

The "combat" topics delve into hand-to-hand, stick, knife and improvised weapons,
multiple opponents, ground fighting, basic gun handling, small unit tactics and
more. The "medic" topics explore wilderness medicine and first aid, anatomy and
physiology, herbology and medicinal plants primarily of the southwest USA region.
